Free ProStores Help – Two days only! – Starting 12-15-09

Its been a while since I’ve blogged and even though the reasons are good, been very busy with projects, a lack of posts on a regular basis isn’t good.

So I’m going to be trying my best to write several times a month with good lists, tips and ProStores help.

To celebrate I’m offering to answer 1 ProStores question per person. This starts now 12-15-09 at 12 noon Est until 11:59 pm Est Thursday the 17th of 2009.

Questions must be submitted as a comment, you must include a link to your ProStores site as well as a valid e-mail so you can receive the notification that I answered your question.

E-mail questions cannot be accepted, you must post them as a comment and I will reply to them on the post.

Follow me on twitter!

Thanks!
Matt

My S&H Rates are 1 item $3.25, 2 or more $6.00 flat. When a customer selects to pay their multi-item, multi SKU purchase using paypal, paypal tacks on $2.50 for each item (ex: for 2 items the customer is charged $8.50, even though prostores cart-generated confirmation states the correct $6.00 value).

    How do I fix this?

I think the error is actually on the paypal-side of the transaction. Years and years ago, you could set-up shopping cart values from within paypal settings, in the area where you can grab the pay button html code snippets for websites today. But I can’t find where to fix this lagging problem- any longer.

Help. I don’t mind refunding the difference owed to customers, but it confuses buyers as to why this is happening in the first place.

    Hi Jeff,

It definitely sounds like a paypal shipping settings issue, I think I’ve run into this before, let me dig into my old e-mails and a couple other places and get you an answer. :-)

    Thanks,
    Matt

There are shipping settings within paypal that if turned on will mess with prostores. Without seeing your paypal setting its impossible to tell you what setting is causing an issue.

Well, I’m looking at your page here: http://www.a-apothecary.com/servlet/Browse and as best I can see your products currently listed in rows of three. So I’m guess I’m not sure what you’re asking. :-)
